    Difficulty holding at a 25 mph speed

    1986 16 ft. Starcraft 1986 110 HP Evinrude Using a 17" pitch prop, the boat has difficulty holding at a 25 mph speed. However, using a 15" prop, that is not a problem. Any idea why? Jack

    The cowling gasket on my '86 110 hp is getting old, and I'm wondering what is the best way to preserve it, because it's starting to get a little hard and crusty, though still fairly pliable.<br /><br />Should I apply vaseline, Vinylex, Armor All, or something else?
