    On our bucket list is a jet boat trip up to Hells Canyon dam. Next summer we’re gonna do it. I was watching some vids the other day and they were catching smallies and sturgeon on the way.

    Got into some smallies on my 2nd outing on the Snake River yesterday morning. Even the little ones are hard fighting. The first pic was the biggest and he came out of deep water, 14’ or so, which is why he’s so dark. I caught 3 out of the deep and 4 others on top water.

    I found the emm port but apparently I need an adapter of some sort. Are there lights on the EMM Itself? I didn’t know to check that . But I will. I started the engine a bit ago and the volt meter on the dash was showing about 12.5. I’m beginning to think that the gauge is screwy. Could I check...

    A little update. I plugged in the onboard charger overnight and this morning the battery read 13.2 volts. I fired up the motor, the dash meter is still reading around 11.5. Shut it off and the battery reads 13.0. I think the battery is probably going bad. It is 6 years old. And this is the end...

    So a week or so ago, I had the hose connected and the engine running checking something out, and it died. Wouldn’t start at all. Shot of ether, nothing. So I started checking thing out and I found the + battery cable loose. I had taken both sides off before a fishing trip about a month ago...

    I just finished replacing my gear case after 1 year+, and upon starting it up I see water coming from where it shouldn’t be. After taking the oil tank loose I found the source of the leak.     Update time. I’m getting close to bolting this back up. I thought I had posted this already. One day I spent a half hour trying to get the pinion onto the shaft and had to give up. Couple days later I nailed it in a few minutes. Got the nut on it with some thread locker on it.

    I haven’t looked on SEI. I’m not really looking to buy a new one since I have everything to fix mine. If one was available for mine at $1200 I would have been on the water last summer LOL The price I saw for my gear case was on Crowley Marine

    My neighbor came by yesterday and I told him what I would do if it was mine. He mentioned that bolt on thing. I thought that sounds like a good way to go. BTW he says he can get a brand new gear case ready to bolt on and go for $1200. I find that hard to believe. For my 40 E-Tec a new gear case...

    That scratch is in the metal on the replacement piece, and it’s nowhere near the weld zone. I read somewhere in this thread someone said they busted a skeg off used it for years and never noticed any difference
