Drain gas tank to tell where empty is.

I ran my kicker that has a 12L tank until it ran out of gas. I then marked the tank with magic marker to tell where empty is. 6L of gas is about 15hrs trolling at 3mph. I wrote that on the tank too. Now I’m wondering about the on board tank. The fuel gauge is not very accurate. I’m...

I was ‘That’ guy at the ramp coming in yesterday.

Ya but that is forgivable. It’s the on purpose crap that’s not.

Three hours west. You must live on a boat in Lake Huron. Lol. Yep it’s a lot of work.

Hello I have a 2006 Lowe’s fish time 175S and I need 3 down rigger mounts and the gunnel is not wide enough for my Scotty down riggers. Any suggestion

I use the cannon tracks on my boats. They make a funnel adapter for narrow gunnels too.

Just bought a 70s 16-17ft Springboke with a 85 johnson is this a good Outboard

Well that narrows it down. Lol Put some plywood down on the floor to make it usable for now. It ain’t cheap or easy to redo the interior.

What is your worst day on the water?

Years ago. Some captains make it interesting. A friend got a boat but didn’t have a tow vehicle yet so he asked me to go. His dad had a boat so I figured he probably knew how to drive one. Four people and a baby load into an old 15’ runabout, closed bow with windshield. We round a point...

    I'm back with a 1994 Islander 221V!

Wow nice work. I have the same quicksilver 3000 controller. I had it all apart a while ago as the trim up would stick on If I press too hard. I can’t see why it does it.

    Need A Metallurgist's Advice

Get a piece of aluminum that you can practice on. It might tell you how much heat is needed.

I’m getting about a gallon an hour. But that’s down from the ten gallon an hour before repairs. The gals like boats.

    Dissapointed in 9.9 4 stroke

Ya efi on a small engine isn’t worth it for fuel savings. Maybe worth it for easy starting. But I have a 20hp and a 5 hp and they both start easy enough for me. It may be possible to turn the low idle down.

One fuel line to two engines

Great day on the water today. Nothing broke. Buddy pulled the rope to hold the boat on straight. I ran the kicker off the portable tank and it ran perfect. I’ll keep the kicker on the portable. I’m pulling the selector switch out and putting the main engine direct line to inboard tank...

One fuel line to two engines

I don’t have time for this. The boat gremlins are getting to me. I fix one thing and a bunch of others brake. I was on the water all day yesterday and I’m going tomorrow. Yesterdays new problems: lost end cap from cannon track. Big Jon Downrigger pops breaker. Fuel leaks from main engine...

View of unloaded trailer with pickups

With My new boat I can’t see much. A little in each mirror but nothing but hull out the back. Once the boats off I can see the trailer ok. Biggest problem so far is every ramp is different. One is so shallow I can’t get the boat on straight and had to go to the other ramp to get it straight...

    1997 Mirrocraft 18' aluminum fish n ski

It’s surprising how many hours it can take to get a boat the way you want it. I have about 300hrs into a new to me boat. Thank goodness it’s pretty much done.
