    Edit..I looked my motor up by specific Model number on the tag. It is a 1980. Not a big deal..Just correcting my error calling it a 1984.

    I have never ran a kicker trolling motor before. Here is a pic of what I have. Another question. Do you usually run the main motor down or up when trolling? I would think down as that would also aid in steering. The main motor kinda acting as a steering rudder in conjunction with the small...

    Now a question I have..The motor is a short shaft. My 70 HP is a long shaft. Can I run the little short shaft 7.5 as a kicker/trolling motor or will I possibly create a cooling problem. The motor of course will never go on plane. Just 2 to 3MPH trolling is all..I think it will still pump water...

    Well this stinks..I ordered a hood, they said they had it, paid for it. Then they called an Hour later and said they were mistaken and refunded me.. So disappointed.. Anyone have any ideas to look? Is there some kind of used parts locator like they have for car salvage? Thanks

    Thanks..I have it running but I think the fuel pump is weak. I ordered one of those and a waterpump kit too. It seems to be fine right now. But will likely change it anyway since I do not know when it was done last and it is a simple job....Found a hood too..Or I hope it is the right one..They...

    This is getting frustrating. I have a older Honda BF50L I believe it to be a 5HP.. But evrytime I search for info or parts it takes to to 50HP stuff..Why the heck did they do something so stupid in model nomenclature..
