00 Waverunner no air

Seems like my Yamaha '00 800 XL Waverunner (2 stroke) is starved for air. I am guessing air filter or choke cable. Any other places to look?

Update: I pulled the intake silencer cover off and the case has oil in the bottom of it. Where did that come from??

blow by in your reed valves,, you probably need new reeds.

Found the problem, zero compression in #2 cylinder. Ya, that will make it run funny. Here comes the wrenches.

i have seen those motors blow gas in the air when running normal

2000 yamaha xl800

I have A 2000 Yamaha xl800 Pwc Had new carbs put inn 3 years ago, It starts and runs fine but when it is at full throttel it sometimes wont idle down and keeps running at full throttel , All cable linkages and springs are working fine ,throttel lever pulls back ,but pwc still runs wide open. can anyone help ?
