'01-115 Yamaha Shifting Issue

Removed lower unit, Replaced water pump , reinstalled lower unit, started, throtle works, shifting doesnt. Any comments? Thanks.

You Missed The Shift Rod On Installing It ,,or You Moved The Shifter Wile It Was On The Bench. Is The Motor In Gear Or Out, At This Poit.

you have to line up the shift linkage when re-assembling. when pushing the LU together, on that last inch, make sure you line up the linkage gear splines.

I will remove and replace the LU and pay attention to the last inch.
