01 Johnson 25hp mystery connector

Hi there. Just had a new head gasket installed in a friend's 2001 25hp.

I noticed that there is a connector hanging behind the CDI module that I don't think was just hanging there before.

Should this connector be attached more securely somewhere.
Also what is the connector for - I know it goes into the block.

On mine, there are tin rubber covered clips over by the coils that hold that kill switch connector.

that is your over heat sensor plug...

there should be 2 of them...

That connector has a stainless steel wire clip to hold it together. The flat portion of that wire clip hangs on the tin clip that is by the coils.

Thanks all. I'll follow your leads.
I guess it only works if you have a buzzer or a remote with a buzzer.
This is just a tiller.
