My 90hp Johnson cut off the other day after unloading the pontoon into the lake while idling and sitting waiting on everyone to get aboard. No fire to any of the plugs. What should I check first? Any easy checks before putting in a shop?

Kill switch is generally required equipment, but hey --. Find the black and yellow kill wire in your harness and disconnect it, then see if you have spark.

Where might the kill switch be located or could it be wired through the key switch? I am heading out now to find the black/yellow wire to disconnect and look for fire. Thanks for the help!

Depends on how your helm and remote is set up. You would generally have a lanyard that can be pulled to stop the engine. The same black and yellow wire that grounds the powerpack when you turn the ignition switch to OFF would ground out the powerpack when you pull the emergency lanyard.

Generally, wiring is similar to that shown near the end of the following thread: http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/ignitionSwitch.html
