02 Yamaha 90hp 2 stroke tilt trim

Trim wouldn't go up and sounded like it was low so I pulled on it and got it all the way up and added fluid then went down and when the 2 small pistons went in nasty dirty brownish red tinted fluid came out. How do I flush out this unit to get all clean fluid in it. It is going up and down now but I know it's still dirty.

only way I know of to remove all of the fluid is to take it apart, clean it, and fill it back up as you put it back together.

might suck all the fluid out of the resivor you can, fill back up with fresh, cycle if for awhile and repeat over and over
