I have a 2003 yamaha F115tlrb that will run fine for a while and then just dies, you can crank back and run fine at idle but if you give throttle over about 1500 it just dies. We took it to the lake and put a fuel pressure gauge on it and when it dies the fuel pressure was going away. I replaced the pump in the VST and checked fuel pressure an dit was fine. We sen tthe boat home with the customer and he went back to the lake and it ran longer and initally, but eventually it cut off. whne you crank it back it will take off and go about 1/2 a mile, but then it dies again. The compression is 160 on all four, the primer bulb is not going flat. It does it with the gas cap off so it is not a venting issue. I have heard of ECU's being bad on these models and causing similar problems. At this point I don't have an ECU to try, but i may could find one if needed. I have checked fuel system from the tank to the pumps and all seems to be fine. Anyone had a similar problem? I am going to look at it again tomorrow, but would like to have a direction to try and look for a fix.
