Got a 05 40hp e-tec with tiller, electic start and tilt and trim. Need to add system check tach part # 177110. Would I be able to use a regular wiring harness for 96 and newer omc outboards such as part number 176339? I suspect this would have several connections I would not need however would I be able to use just the tach and system check connections from this harness. I can find a whole used harness cheaper than buying the specific wiring from a dealer.
