'05 Four Winns 230 - anyone LOVE or HATE it?

Any owners (past or present) with an '05 FW 230 and opinions?
I'm looking to purchase my first boat and am debating between the FW and an '07 Monterey 214fs. Any input is appreciated in regards to either. I am hoping to take both out on a run soon to get my own impressions other than just climbing around on them.

The H230 is a great boat. One of the best FW has made. A bit smaller than the H230, but the Monty 214FS is an excellent choice. Very fast hull, good in chop for it's size. Just depends on what you want, bigger in a 23' or smaller in a 21'. I would get the Monterey if all things were equal, price wise, condition wise, trailer etc.

I have never owned a Four Winns, but have heard good things about them. I used to have a 2006 Monty 180FS and can attest it's a solid, well-built boat. Mine was well appointed and fit and finish was as good as it gets.

You didn't mention any specifics (price, condition, hours or specs) on either boat, but in my opinion if both are of comparable condition and you like them both equally, get the jump on 2 footitis.

One vote for each thus far. I'm really torn as to which one. My only concern with the Monterey is its smaller size (though the FW isn't a significant difference). Our lake is pretty rough and gets the washer effect on weekends. Prob would keep either on the dock during peak hours.

Specifics: The FW is 19,999, not sure how many hours at this point. 5.0 mpi alpha one. I have only seen very limited listing online.

The Monterey is $18,999 and has 98 hours on it. merc 5.0 mpi. The dealer just had the interior all reupholstered. It was all stained from a cheap cover that was used for a month. Other than that, it appears to be in great condition. I'm assuming the Monty will run a bit faster than the FW with same engine, lighter weight, faster hull (so I've been told).
