06' 250 hpdi hard to start when cold

I have a 2006 Yahama 250 hpdi engine...recently Yahama sent a letter to replace oil pump. Had that service done at a Yahama dealer. Since then 3 times on water, it will not start when cold. When it does start, runs erractically, smokes terribly. Any suggestions?

take it back to the dealer, its also very possible they left a sensor unplugged such as air temp or pressure.
its also possible the TPS voltage was not rest correctly.
a quick look with a laptop will tell.
