06 Mercury 40ELPTEFI - fuel pump question

2006 Mercury 40ELPTEFI
40 HP
4-STROKE

This motor sat over a year and fuel went very bad in Florida. Dealer told me today, the efi fuel pump is so clogged it must be replaced at a parts cost of 480.00+ plus labor. Does this sound reasonable?
I just bought this motor with a 2007 pontoon boat.. (long story but good deal, if I don't have to spend too much more on this engine)

Bite the bullet and have it done... this is common due to todays fuels. Prime example to use additives suggested by MFG (quickleen) and perform proper maintenance..
