09 Tahoe Q5i MERC won't turn over????

I just bought the boat and have been out every weekend with zero problems. Boat would fire up on first turn of the key and stay running. Then yesterday when I went for a ride NO PROBLEMS STARTING/RUNNING but when I got back to the launch it wouldn't SHUT OFF?? I tried pulling my safety switch and still nothing I had to pull my cilinoied plug wire to get it to stop running. The next day I went out. It fired up fine. I left it running while I parked my truck an when I walked back to my boat it was dead. I tried turning it over an nothing happened, no starter turning over, no fuel gage on nothing, but my radio, bilge pump an blower work. I've checked the fuse panel under the steering wheel there all good, I've replaced the ignition switch and still nothing. Any help will be taking thanks.

Hey Box. I'm pretty sure this is Mercruiser not a Mercury, so I moved it over here. Get us the engine/drive ID info. S/N too. That will help us zero in on it. Boat model is less important. Good luck and Welcome aboard!

Hi there, There is a diode assembly that if it were to go bad then it will allow the engine to stay running. The diode assembly looks like a red fuse holder, part number 83-865913A01. If the problem seems temp related, then the chances are even higher the diode is bad.

The diode assembly can be seen here in this link posted below in the second photo next to the distributor cap area,

By the way, for future reference you may want to bear that whole thread posted above in mind due to there is a hidden 15 amp fuse that is for accessories that may give you a problem someday. It's a long read though.
