My 1997 20' Maxum will hit 54 (GPS and 4950 +/- and no I dont keep running it there) swinging a 4 blade 21" turning point prop with a light load ( me and 15-20 gallons of fuel) and when loaded for fishing (yes I know its not a fishing boat) with 2 large guy's and 1 "regular" guy, 47 gallons of fuel, 32 gallon bait tank, 100 pounds of ice in the kill bag and all our gear I can get 47-48 MPH... but I did spend a lot of time getting it propped correctly... loaded for fishing I will max at 4700 RPM and light load 4900-5000 RPM
