1 quick qestion...

If I can hear a slight clicking of the neutral switch, when moving the shifter forward and back very slowly,to the neutral position on the shifter, does that mean that my neutral safety switch is working properly?

That sound means nothing.

If the starter solenoid engages when you turn the key over to "start" with the shifter locked in neutral, but fails to engage when the shifter is not locked in neutral, then the neutral safety switch is working properly.

Samo, It is a 1999 four winns horizon 170, with 115 hp Johnson.
