Hi, been a long time since visiting this place. Just to let you know it's been one year since I bought my baby bayliner 16-ftr and it's been awesome!!!!
We go out almost every weekend, and take care of it like a pet. We've travelled to the west coast florida, loved it, but unfortunately with our busy lives, can't find the time to do it again.

Anyways, it looks like we're upgrading to a 175 in a few weeks, so I'll let you all know how that goes. Problem is, my wife's so attached to our boat that she feels bad about selling it. Hey, if I had the $$$, wouldn't mind owning 2 bayliners!!!

here's our baby...

http://www.hodge.cc/buzios/index.html

Oh and by the way, i dont use a KIA to pull it anymore, got a Ranger...thanks to your advice!!!

later...

Good to hear you are happy with the Bayliners, maybe they don't deserve their reputation anymore...

your wife is cute too.. :) :)

I know how your wife feels, I don't like parting with things either.. be they cars or boats or bikes.

With the money I am spending on my boat, compared to what its worth.. I would be better off getting another boat, but can't bring myself to part with this one..

Guess I'll have to wait a while and get a 35 footer and use my 17 foot half cabin as a big tender :)

Happy boating..

rgds

Frank

Re: 1 Year Anniversary...with my boat!

I know just how you feel, I also had a Bayliner 1600 and it was our 1st boat, the boat was built in 1984 and the wife just loved it. But as we all know, in time we got to have a bigger and fast boat, so I took the wife out to the boat show and let her look over the new Bayliners and showed her the 1950. After about 10 min. she was in love with and wanted it. Sold the old boat added the rest of the $$ and bought it. I also so let her name the boat so she felt like it was part her's. I now have to say no to a week-end on the water just so I can get things done around the yard and house. The best part is when I'm working in the yard she's cleaning and waxing the boat. Can life get any better?.
