Hey Guys, My buddy has a 10 hp evinrude engine, possibly a "twinports" not for sure on that part. It is definetly a 10 hp evinrude and he would like to know the year and gas/oil mix ratio. If someone could help me out or tell me where to find out I would appreciate it!

Hi there,

Try to find some id numbers on the engine.

There should be a webpage (don't know) that has the numbers listed and also the year of the engine. I believe that someone can help you finding the webpage or telling you the year by just seeing the id number.

Buy then a manual for the engine! It's worth it!

Robbi

If it truely is a 10hp engine, then it almost definitely takes a 24:1 mixture (87 octane gas and TC-W3 outboard oil).
Bring us that model number and we can tell you for sure.

Thanks Paul and Robbi, I do appreciate the help, I didn't think that was the model # but it was worth a shot. I'll have to have my buddy look again, a little harder next time. Ok, Thanks again!
Frank
