ok guys i changed out the impeller and everything and now my tilt isnt going up, it wil put the engine down but no sound when i push the button up,, any suggestions,..

Fuse or wiring. Trace it down.

Ok guys I shaked around the wires for the trim and it started to work,,, So I got some muffs and tied them on good,, turned up the water and started the engine,,,,,and still no water flowing through..nothing from the pee holes or the exaust....I put a new impeller in, and double checked it was in the right way...I stuck the hose throught the 2 holes in the back (pee holes) and water is coming through the exaust....so what do you guys think?????

Muffs are not enough water supply for Force Motors! Submerge the lower unit a good 5 inches past were you are putting muffs...

My muffs work fine on my 125. Anyway, go stick the boat in the water. If still nothing, I'm out of answers, and ya gotta be missing something..is it going into gear? Heck, maybe the Driveshaft snapped(happened to me)

Thank you Cordell, I did submerge it and I finally got waterflow. I took it to folsom lake yesterday and had tons of fun, So thank you to everyone,, But one last thing.When I was on the lake it was doing 2 things...


1. there was black gulk on the spark plugs?

2. It would idle, but when i put it into gear the engine would shut off,so i had someone pull up on the throttle on the carbs when i put into gear. how do i fix this problem? what is there too much fuel in carbs?because sometimes it didnt even want to stay at idle it would just die out..

Your welcome, I went through the same thing with my 85 horse, tried and tried with muffs to get NOTHING! I went down to wally world and bought a tub for $8 and presto water! I live in Lodi not to far from you and have never been to Folsom Lake, any info on launch price and fish report basic overall opinion of the place would be appreciated. I normally go to Stockton, I found a place for free launch and I can cruise to the Port of Stockton, good for family day. If I head the other way I got good fishing. I have been wanting to try out Discovery Park in Sac, can you cruise through Old Sac from there? If you have any personal opinion on Discovery Park please let me know. Anyway glad you had a good day, many more to come!

the black gunk...did you run seafoam through the gas during your run? if so it might be the deposits that were cleaned off the inside of the motor. come to think, that might be what it is seafoam or no seafoam. i do recommend a seafoam run twice a year with the force motors, just what i have learned from reading here at iboats.

Another suggestion for you guys is to add a tell tale to your motors. My force works great on muffs but i added one any way. There is a thread in the forums called can I add a telltale to my FORCE. Read it and do it, its a easy way to keep an eye on your water pump and it takes literally five minutes to complete.

Take your extra cash and buy an e-tec

Sounds like when you put the lower unit back on you missed the connecting pipe. Or the connecting pipe is plugged with old impeller. Was this boat ever in salt water? Jerry

Folsom Lake was great. I wouldnt go on the weekends. Ive heard it is ridiculously packed. I didnt see what they caught but somebody caught some, a decent size at folsom. Discovery park is cool. You can dock at old sac, and go walk around. Then where the sac meets the american river, water is calm and in the summer youll have about 50 boats hanging out bbq and having a good time. its a no wake zone too so thats good.

I dont think it was ever in salt, the old impeller was all intact when i pulled it out. what do you suggest i do?
