I can think of about 50 more that a fisherman or boater needs. They could replace 50 of those.

Re: 100 Skills Every Man Should Know

You really want to look at the list and think of what your wife/significant other can do on that list. My wife has a bunch that I know of and if she admits to knowing more I am going to pass the "chore list" right back to her.

JB, that's a good idea! I'd be interested in a 50 things that make an 'old salt' thread. Give me some milestones to laugh at when I actually do them and fail miserably :)

Done them all , but I could care less about #'s 31 & 73 .
All laundry is done in a 3 step process :
1) wash
2) dry
3) wear
REPEAT ...

I don't understand neckties . They bear a striking resemblence to a noose , cleverly disguised as a fashion piece . They have no practical value , except to aid in identification of the wearer as a person who does little or no actual work . Maybe THAT is the answer .
The next time you ask " who do we have to hang in order to get anything meaningful accomplished ?" , think of those that are allready prepared for the event . :D

Re: 100 Skills Every Man Should Know

I see four. I'm probably too old to try 55..however I just went skydiving last November for my 61st birthday. And for 47 will a hot cigarette on the posterior do the job?? Worked on the dog. :D
For 61 and 62, would know what to do, yet have never had to survive them them.

Whats with the sewing machine (#15)? If it needs to be sewn, it needs to be replaced.
