Re: 105hp with 2 low cylinders
Well, if it is a 105, it is prior to 1982. In 1982 Chrysler down-rated the 105 to 90 in order to rate it at the prop.
As far as two "low" cylinders what is low? 80-120 would possibly mean stuck rings. 20-60 would probably mean a broken ring OR broken head gasket. Less than 20 and there is the possibility of major damage requiring rebuilding.
If you are buying the engine unseen, the freight alone is what the engine is worth, even running. At 100 bucks, the price is really good. Buy it as a parts engine, (the lower unit alone is worth 300-400 bucks) or with the intention of investing money to rebuild. Otherwise wait until a deal comes along closer to you. Spend your money on beer.
By the way: The ALL run fine "It only needs a few minor repairs" Yeah! Four pistons and a complete ignition.
