Re: 11 year olds first boat...

Hello all...

I wanted to give you all an update...

We were unable to do anything with the boat this past Sunday. I have been debating whether or not to even talk about this...but here goes:

Shay wanted to buy a couple of things for the boat so he went to his room and he has a little safe where he keeps his money, and it was all gone. All 62 dollars is gone. The only person that has been in my house besides me and my girl and her girls is the maintenance guy. The ceiling was leaking and we called the landlord and he sent him out to fix the ceiling. We have tore Shays room up and can not find the money so it has to be him. Shay's key to his safe thing, was on top of the refrigerator and that guy was on a ladder working on the ceiling. It has to be him.

My question is, how do I let the landlord know that I think his guy took the money?

This is very disturbing that someone would steal from a child...I am very upset as you all can imagine.

What to do?

Honestly, I would just tell him, chances are, you're not the only one this maintenance guy has stolen from. Let him know exactly what happened, that the money was there before in the safe, and it's now gone. I'm so sorry to hear that this happened, some people are just crazy. Hopefully your landlord will reimburse you.

Agreed. Now we are back to saving money up for the boat. I think with my next paycheck I will replace it, but it is the whole principal of the thing. I hope that guy gets what he has done three fold back...ugh. anyway....we will keep our heads up.

Thank you.

Hello all!

I have gotten a few emails for an update and at this time we are saving up money again. Sorry it is taking so long. Besides it is like 90+ degrees here and 80% percent humidity. So it is very hot right now and the boat is outside with no protection from the heat or sun. It would be nice to have a simple carport at this point...LOL. I will update you all as soon as there has been progress made.

Talk soon!
