Well in one ninute I found the right thermo stickin way out and crooked, with black oil on it much like carbon on a spark plug, which might mean big trouble right?
Well i bought new thermos from an evinrude dealer and now I,m wondering if the plastic housing around the 'stat is a two piece deal cauce i cant pry the darn things out for the life of me, im wonderin if the parts guy gave me the wrong type. has anyone a clue?

2 hours of screwing with it and gave up, looked online for a parts dealer and found out the guy sold me the wrong thermo, upset that i could be out fishing maybe but i still unsure if the thermos are the only culprit. Someone told me about salt away flush, maybe thats all i needed to do. Im gonna lite up the neigborhood as soon as i get back from the marina that i got the first set of parts from. my luck, bet they dont have em in stock. post ya later
