115 hair puller 1974 evenrude

At top end the motor drops off then picks up alternatly evry 10 sec.or so. New parts include ; power pac,1 coil ,400.00$ carb rebuild,spark plugs.could 1 coil be falling off at high end and not otherwise and would check out o.k.at lowerspeeds.or is there still an issue with fuel.thanks

Allmost sounds like fuel starvation , have you overhauled the fuel pump and checked the fuel pressure , its quite easy to install an inline gauge and then have some one watch the pressure whilst trying it out, if it drops off at the top end thats your problem.

This might be way off, but does it drop and pick up with a violent bang like you hit something? That is a worn out clutch dog in the lower unit.

No, it doesnt hit hard either way ,but does alot of jumping up and down. almost sure its only one cyl,wilalso go up and down at intermediate speed .John J.
