That motor may have plastic carbs. If so, check the bowls for warping, and replace them if you find it. It will be obvious when you put a straight edge on the bowl mating surface.

Just replace the oil cap in boat...if bad it will build pressure when its hot outside and push oil thru VRO into carbs

Yes----It is always the carburetors.----Might as well rebuild them.-------Or perhaps do some easy trouble shooting first.-----This motor should at least fire , bark and roar when cranking with key pushed in , does it ???
OK rebuilt the carbs, filled the jets clean, rebuilt the VRO, got it started by making the idle higher and it will run over oiled. I have made the choose to delete the VRO for now. MY plan is to cut the oil line to the motor from the tank putting a bolt in and clamping. From there mixing the fuel in the tank.
Leads me to a question? What is proper fuel mix. As i did my research the motor idles at 100:1 and at WOT is around 30:1. Where do yall sit on the mix?

Agreed run with 50:1 mix and with top quality oil.----Lubrication on 2 strokes is NOT well understood , in my opinion.

Any suggestions on where to cut the oil line on vpo? Can I just cut at the tank or do I have to cut from the VPO?
