I recently had my boat taken back into the mercury mechanics to install a new trim system.

When I got it back I put it in the water and at first I wasnt getting any water peeing. I took a small cable and cleared out a bunch of junk from the peehole. Turned my engine on again and we got it peeing again. Everything seemed good until I started trying to get her up to plane, when I started pushing up past 2000 or 3000 rpms, I would get a continuous beep and would continue to beep until i brought the motor back down to idle. If i didnt bring it down to idle the guardian mode would kick on and start limiting the motor, powering it down.

Could it be that theres something still jammed in there? I didnt have any issues with the motor until this, I recently replaced the impeller a few months ago.

Any ideas? The mechanics just told me to bring it back into the shop, but it seems that everytime i bring it there a new problem emerges.

Thanks in Advance!!!!

With most the new motors they need to be scanned to find out which sensor it is. There is only a few that give a solid alarm which would be, low water pressure, low oil pressure, over heat. Since the motor just came back from the dealer, look for a connector that was not reinstalled.

air compressor or engine may be overheating due to low water cooling volume:
-plugged screen in block (for compressor cooling)
-tired water pump
-plugged telltail
