115 omc gasket sealants

Does it really matter that I use all oem sealants on all gasket surfaces during a rebuild? I have used permatex 2 on all my other vehicles. Gelseal for the block halves Ill do that. But all the other goops and lotions are they really that much better?

I prefer the OMC/BRP Gasket sealant over the Permatex. Just because I like it better, nicer to work with. But I don't think that is going to influence your decision is it?

i use the permatex aviation sealer the brown stuff with the brush .
its a little thinner but works just like my evin stuff .
