115 tilt trim question

hey just a quick question can I put a newer tilt trim on a older motor? mine is a 82 want to put on a 89,90 style, mine has the two cylinders one on either side of the motor pump in the boat, want one with the pump on the cylinder thanks again

I have an 83 115 that has the integral trim from a late 80's mariner. You have to change the mount/swivel as a unit.

Another option (Which is what I did) is find an 84 - 88 inline that has a blown powerhead and swap your powerhead. I put a 1979 140 onto a 1985 90 exhaust tower with the power trim. Also that way you also get the face plate support with the mounting holes for the up and down solenoids.
