1150 Merc appart lower end

I took apart the lower end to replace the impeller and noticed when i spin the drive shaft the prop does not spin? Is this normal

It is normal if it was in neutral when you took it apart. You want it to stay in neutral so it lines back up properly when you reinstall it. If it was fine before you pulled it it is working properly.

Neutral is the best and easiest most ashured way of geting it back on correctly just recheck your shifter is in Neurtal before reinstalation
