Monk-Monk, You can install the gauge on the head (sometimes there is a threaded plug) or tee it into the telltale.
The problem is that it will not give you useful info since the motor does not have a thermostat. It will read dead cold at idle and hotter at cruise. The motor will overheat (if it wants) before you can react.
Install a pressure gauge instead. If you have pressure, you have cooling. Tee it into the telltale.
