12 aluminum fishing boat.

Has anybody ever seen an aluminum 12 ft fishing boat with wood trim? The wood runs along the top edge and protects the aluminum edge and gives rigidity to the boat, wood seats too. Registration says it's a 65, but I think it's older.

I think I saw a Starcraft alum fishing boat like that. The hull was lime green. '65 sounds pretty close for year model.

Agreed - probably a fifty-sumthin'

I've seen a few putting around our lake when i was a kid. Clean it up, it'll be a head turner.

That rounded flared transom was very popular then.

Not what I thought it was. Never saw a skiff like that down here and it's not a Lone Star, doubt it's a Starcraft and doubt it's an Alumacraft, although they did roll the transom sides of some models.

could be almost anything..There was a Quichita (sp?) brand that made a lot of lil alum boats and canoes

I am restoring a 12 foot welded aluminum boat, circa 1950, with Wood gunnels and seats. Boat was made by
chicotimi Aluminum products, in Chicotimi , Quebec, Canada, and sold by Eaton's. Boat has been in my family since new.

Currently sanding the hull, and have made new gunnels out of 1" Mahogany- was lucky to find a long piece so that no joints required.
