Have a friend who wants to trade his 120 evinrude vro for my evinrude 60 only because he downsized on another boat. Is 120 horse gonna be too much for a 15 ft tri-hull.... or should I be ok with that size engine on the back?

Also whats the difference power wise between a 3 cylinder 60 Evinrude and a 2 cylinder 60 horse Evinrude?

I don't think so. check the rating on your boat to make sure.

Doing the math, zero. the three might have a few more inches of displacement, depending on the years. In theory, a 3 cylinder should get slightly better fuel economy due to it can have a broader rpm range where the tuned exhaust will be effective.
