I was spring clean the boat, motor, and trailer and all was going well.
However, when I looked inside the cover of my motor, I noticed that the
other end of the "Water pump indicator" hose was not attached or plugged
into anything. I looked for a place to connect it but could not find one. The
photo in the owners maual does not help. The motor ran great last season
and water was coming out of the hose port. Does this plug in anywhere?
thanks - signed Rookie.

Rookie,

The hose comes off of one of the heads or the exhaust plate between the cylinder banks.

The other end goes to a fitting that is in the lower cowl pan on the right (starboard) side of the engine.

Put the muffs on it and, without the cowling on, fire it up. You'll see real quick where its supposed to be hooked up.
Be aware that some motors (like my 1993 120) have a syphon tube hooked to the pisser line to syphon any water that might get into the lower cowling.
