Rookie question. I changed the pluds, grease, oil, etc my 1994 120 Johnson last week. The last time I had it on the lake, it ran great. Just wanted to do routine maintenance. First time I've done this. I noticed that the hole where the water shoots out when the engine is running had a hose connect to it. However, the other end was not connected to anything inside the hood cover. The hose is about 2 ft long and I looked to see if it came un-loose from somewhere. I could not find a place. Does it hang loose inside the hood cover or do I need to look some more? I looked at the maunal and the photos but I could nbot tell. thanks

if it comes strait off the top of overboard discharge <aspitrator> T, it is used to suck up water that finds its way into the cowling. there should be a valve at the end of the hose-that has a piece of hose on it with 1 or 2 V cuts in it. just trying to help.
