120 MC I/O trim tab

I need to replace mine and it shows two available for it. One is zinc and the other aluminum. The one I had on there was zinc but am wondering if I should go aluminum if it would be stronger than the zinc one. Thoughts?

It`s not a matter of strength, it the corrosion protection offered. salt or fresh makes a difference.

Gotcha. Only used in fresh water.

The only two I found available are either zinc or aluminum. I think I remember zinc's properties are close to magnesium so I guess that is what you are suggesting?

Sierra 18-6011 is magnesium.

Says zinc for 18-6011 in iboats store. 18-6011A is aluminum
