120 rude flooding

I have an 1987 120 rude that has good compression good spark and runs just fine. If i turn the engine off to soon after coming off plane it will seemingly flood out. It will also flood out if i put it into gear to soon. Carbs have been overhauled with new kits. Will adjustin the float be my remedy? I cant seem to figure this out. When running or idling has no problem no misses or anything it just wants to flood out as i described please help.

How do you know it is flooding? Turning off the engine too soon after coming off plane doesn't make sense. Turning off the engine means turning off the ignitiion. It should quit and not because it is flooding. Please clarify. Same applies to putting into gear too soon. Too soon after what?

I think it is flooding because if i try to start it right back up it wont. You can smell the gas. If i let the motor idle for a lil bit before i shut of the engine i can restart it with no problem. Too soon about starting the motor means that if i dont let the engine idle for a few seconds before puting it in gear it will stall and will not start for a while afterwards.

I have the same problem on a johnson,did you find out what the problem was. The carbs are clean, I noticed that it had too much gas in the lower car on the left side, it has six carbs. It was throwing out alot of gas and 2 cycle oil from that one? Any susggestions. I don't mean to take over your thread but I would like a response on your solution.
