125 exlpto alarm

Hi guys, I was given a 2005- 2006 125 exlpto # 1b213915 , when key is in the on position, I have a alarm, it is not a overheat issue, tank on motor has oil, is there a sender that could be sticking in oil tank?if I plan on keeping motor,I will get proper manual, I did not find much on forum search, thanks

This is a very common problem with mercs. The oil level sensor in the oil tank goes bad and is not user fixable. Only fix I know is to replace the tank. I chose an okie work around instead. I disconected the sensor connection and use common sense instead of relying on an unreliable sensor.
