well they sort of have a problem because the orginal GC was fired by walmart because this distribution center was not going fast enough for them with the local PA labor<br /><br /><br />at which point they became there own GC and the workers were hired buy the 5 more or less sub contractors wallmart has finishing the job<br /><br /><br />they have contracts with the subs to hire only LEGAL LABOR but there were so many out of state cars at the job site the local union called them to see about hireing some local labor and got blown off<br /><br />at which point they called the INS or who ever you call<br /><br />tommays

wally mart became their OWN general contractors?! I would love to see some sort of documentation to back that claim up.

i can only repeat the long story that i heard on CNN on friday<br /><br />it is not there normal way of doing things but it was reported that there were BIG problems on this job(it is a 1,000,000 sq ft building ) and they took this step on this one job to get it back under control and finished<br /><br />tommays

Im not doubting your veracity but when I think wal mart employees I see checkers and door greeters not construction workers. They would still have to go thru some sort of contractor. Wal Mart just doesnt have the expertise to DO that sort of job. But then anything I saw on CNN would be suspect anyway

I really had something clever to say here but as a lark I called a friend of mine who is battling cancer. Whoever hires the illegals should be fined $10,000 for each violation. That action will stop the illegals from getting jobs and therefore, they will stay home. The deportation garbage is useless and the profiteers simply have gained not paying at all for that weeks work.

Blade, Hopefully you do not believe Walmart does not have personnel that could finish the job. They have engineers and architechs at hand.
