12ft sears gamefisher jon boat

Can anybody tell me how big of outboard can I use on this boat, the only thing I saw on info plate was two person or 300lbs, this is winter project I have trolling motor 30 lbs minkoda and 6hp evinrude tiller but if it will handle larger motor I will get one thanks for any info

Hi I've a 14ft Sears Jon Boat from 1970. It's rated 560# and up to a 7.5hp motor max. The ID tag should clearly state max motor capacity.

Thanks I think I will use 6hp, but gonna look for 3-5hp with gas tank on top cut down having tank on floor not much room
