I am in need of a detail breakdown of the engine, i have some nasty oil and water leaks, and need this info to order parts.<br /><br /> the only Numbers on this motor is as follows.<br /><br />2945<br />0 <br />these are on a steel tag and are stamped in. <br />and it says 12 Elgin on the engine cover.<br /><br />any and all help will be appreciated.<br /><br />thanks

We need a model number, begins with 571 or 574<br /> Without that it will be tough. Color will help<br /> some.Is the cowl angular or somewhat rounded?<br /> Look hard for that number.<br /> Parts are going to be hard to find and Elgin<br />was built by 2 comepletely different companies.<br /> Sears and other names were built by a number of other companies all out of business so you can see the importance of a model number.
