Good Day Mates,

I have a 1988 Escort Boat Trailer with 13 inch 5 lug rims. I want to dress up the plain rims with some moon hubcaps. I did a search on the net and didn't find anything that I think will work. The problem is with the wheel bearing cover. It extends out and I'm not sure to buy moons that clamp to the bearing housing or to the concave wheel rim. Does any one know what kind of hubcap I need and a source to buy them? Thanks.

Ayuh,...

Personally,...
I don't think that hubcaps belong on boat trailers,.... Period....

The Whole Idea with Boats,+ their Trailers is to get Rid of the water,...
Not to trap it in places that don't Drain naturally...

Hubcaps also make it Impossible to do a walk-by Inspection of the hardware...

Like Bond-O said, hub caps are not such a good idea on boat trailers. Although you see moons on some high end speed boat and bass boat trailers, they do trap water, and they do hide the wheel bearings and lug nuts. If there are bearing buddies or the like in use, the hubs will have to come off to grease them.

They might look fancy, but they are more of a pain in the butt than anything else.

Also, unless you buy the expensive stainless steel moons, they will wook pretty crappy in a couple of years.
