First off, Thank you guys who chimed in about the spark plugs. I had a good running engine with NGK's in it, and when I swapped them over to the factory recommended QL78YC Champions, she became a GREAT running engine. Much smoother at all rpm's.
Is it normal for the power curve of these loopers to be a bit sudden. When I leave the dock, and roll in the throttle it seems that around 3000 the engine takes off and shoots to 4000. With that said, it also drops drasticly below around 3800 when slowly backing off the power.... and the boat comes on plane. Is this the timing advance coming in?
