140 hp OMC sea drive

I have a 1988 OMC 140 hp v4 sea drive with a bad prop shaft. Any tricks to drop the lower gear case? I have service manual on the way. Do any other lowers interchange with this model? Thanks in advance.

just unbolt and disconnect the shift rod #36 up top should do it

see under the trim tab do no remove #71 anode bolt
