Ok, boat a 1985 with a 140 merc. I got it home yesterday. Saw it on e-bay and there was not one bid.
So i called him and made a deal 400 bucks. Trailer and boat. I'll post a link.
Started it in his drive way. Got it home and started it with water going to the long hose, that leads to the t-stat.
Runs good, runs strong.
Took off the manifold carb and riser in one unit. Mine is a omc stringer that the motor is going into. One in my signature.
Disconnect all wires, ready for the move over.
Got to pull my old motor.
Oil pan has slight leak on my 140 while out of the boat got to change over the pan.
The question the 120 pan will fit my 140?
Should right? Have the gaskets.
