15 H.P. Montgomery Ward

Need to find manual and any helpful info on this unit. My brother gave it to me and I'd like to try to get it running. Serial# 48X32012 Model # VWB52119F. If I can get it operational I'll also need to find a new bonnet for it if anyone knows how or where to get one.

Hi Bob<br />The closest I can come to identfing your motor is VWB52119E this being a 1984 model. these motors were made by Chrysler. An after market manual that covers Chryslers of this size and era is what you need. As far as bonnets are concerned your just going to have to look.

Thanks for the info Alcan. That helps a bit. I'll see if I can locate a manual at a local library or marine supply. We had it trying to fire over but it just wouldn't quite take. Probably just need the right specs and maybe a part or two.<br /><br />Bob

Bob, if your motor has been sitting alot you<br />may need to go through the fuel system.Most<br />outboards get gummed up easily from sitting.<br /> You could try a squirt of premix in the carb to see if it will fire.Be careful.

You may be able to find a cover on ebay <br />all kinds appear regularly.
