15 hp evinrude powerpack interchange

can anybody tell me if the powerpack part # 0582508 will change out with any other. I have access to a 0582556, a 582125, 582452, 583110 and a 583167. will any of those work as a replacer for the 582508. thanks, Knob

Hi Knob #582508 is an ignition coil not a power pac.

Sorry Knob my fingers and mind don't always work together. OMC part#582508 is an ignition coil not a power pac.This info is from an OMC master parts price book. I do not have a parts catolog for your year model 15hp. So I can't tell which power-pac you need. Can you give me the part# on the one you have now.

Knobby<br />Before you change that pickup coil check the flywheel Keyway as very cheap and will cause both plugs not to fire. Very common for it to shear after flywheel has been off.
