15 hp johnson

I have just bought this 15 hp johnson don't know what year , I found the small tag but the model number is damaged and i can't make the model # out the ser# isE0202086 could it be a 1986? need help DAV, thanks

We really need the model number. From what I understand, BRP dealers can look up serials.

I just bought a 15HP myself last night! Mine's an '85.

That doesn't look like enough numbers. Johnson had supassed the 6 million mark (6,000,000) by 1986. You say yours is only 202,086. That would make it a 1933. I don't think so.

EDIT: Some motors made in other countries had lower numbers. But yours was made at the Evinrude plant in Milwaukee Wisconsin. That's what the "E" preceeding the serial number means.
