15 hp mariner 1993

Looking at buying a 93 15 hp electric start mariner and am a little worried about the avalibility of replacment parts. I know they were made by murcury, so can mercury and mariner parts be interchanged? also anything else I need to be aware of on this model? I have been shoping for a motor for a while.

The 15 HP engines are great little engines very problem free. Take the serial number and go to either of the following site to check for parts availability,
