Cannot find anything on line regarding what (might) have to be disconnected in order to drop the foot for impeller replacement. Anyone familiar with this????

I do not have the repair manual for this model yet but would like to get started on it. If anyone can shoot me a copy of the replacement instructions it would be appreciated. -Larry

It is either an 1981 or 1982 motor depending on the serial number and was made by chrysler. A chrysler manual should give you the details you need. Either get one from chrysler crew or try and find a clymer manual.

this is what clymer says
Move shift lever into Forward
Remove the 4 hex head screws at the base of the motor leg
Separated the gearcase from the motor leg enough to expose the screw holding the gear shif rods together. Remove the screw
remove the gearcase from the motor leg.

Outstanding answer Admiral Larva! Direct & to the point!

I'd give you another Star but there isn't enough room with your earned combat citations and the Galaxy on your shoulders now. :)
